Tooth Fairy is a Western tradition
Many cultures around the world have traditions related to losing teeth. In some places, children throw their teeth on the roof or bury them in the ground. In the US and many European countries, the Tooth Fairy brings money or small gifts to children who place their tooth under a pillow before going to sleep. You can make the tradition even more fun for your kids by also leaving a letter from the Tooth Fairy.

Tooth Fairy Letters Can Encourage Brushing
When I was little, I dutifully put each lost tooth under my pillow, and the Tooth Fairy always left a coin in return. She never left a letter. But the Tooth Fairy always leaves a letter for my kids because I've discovered Tooth Fairy letters are great for encouraging kids to brush and floss their teeth.
Kids obviously look forward to getting money from the Tooth Fairy, but a letter will do a better job encouraging them to brush every day by specifically mentioning how important it is to take care of your teeth.
You can find free Tooth Fairy letters online, buy personalized Tooth fairy letters and certificates from sites such as Official Tooth Fairy Mail, or simply create your own letter. Kids will love any of them!
If you're creating your own letter from the Tooth Fairy, you can have The Tooth Fairy praise your child on how clean and shiny the lost tooth looks, or mention what a great job the child has been doing with their brushing. You can also encourage the child to keep up the good work and remind them to brush and floss at least twice a day.
The great thing about letters from the Tooth Fairy is that you can slip one in easily with the regular reward. Most kids leave their teeth under their bed pillow before going to to
sleep, and The Tooth Fairy is usually really good at finding these
teeth. But some people like to use special tooth pillows
or tooth boxes that keep the special tooth safe until the Tooth Fairy
arrives. These make it much easier for the Tooth Fairy to find the lost
tooth, and they make a great place to stash the Tooth Fairy's reward. A
letter can easily be slipped under any of these.
Your kids will be excited to get a letter from the Tooth Fairy, and you may find that the Tooth Fairy's magic encouragement works better than Mom's nagging when it comes to getting your kids to brush every day!
Want to Add a Tooth Fairy Picture?
A fun way to make your child's experience even more magical is to leave a photo of the Tooth Fairy visiting your child along with the letter from the Tooth Fairy. Through the magic of Catch a Character, you can create a photo of the Tooth Fairy in your child's room or any other part of your house in just minutes. You simply upload a photo of your choice (such as your child sleeping), pick from a variety of Tooth Fairy poses, make any personal adjustments to size, color or brightness, and then print your photo. You've just caught the Tooth Fairy!

You bet those letters can do that. In fact, that's how I got my kids to brush their teeth before sleeping by instinct. Their dentist in Jackson is actually amazed with me for what I've done. Well, you know what they say: a little creativity goes a long way. I just hope that they carry the habit even when they're older.
i had a second tooth please come here today night

Actually, that is a GOOD idea. My son has become sloppy in brushing his teeth and when he looses a tooth, he does expect some treat from her...so why not add this as well :)
Thanks for the tip lisa42...loved this idea :)
